PostSubject: Winx's Body Anatomy   Sun Oct 30, 2016 10:10 am

I know there are many controversies about the show and how it promotes anorexia, but the aim of this topic is more or less to discuss how oddly disproportionate the Winx's body is (in some scenes). Like, seriously! They're not even natural in many shots! I'm trying to understand why can't Rainbow draw their extremely thin-and-impossible waist in a proper way, cause seriously many scenes recently have them look un-human. I've noticed their bodies appear especially cringe-worthy to look at during Tynix; for some reason this transformation makes them look like hourglasses (in an unpleasant way.)

Here are a couple of examples from the top of my head:

Do they even have a gastric system?? I'm starting to understand how some parents believe this drawing style promotes anorexia, as it is very unpleasant to look at. Obviously I know that's not Rainbow's purpose and it's simply a style of drawing, but it looks very unhealthy and cringe-worthy EVEN for a cartoon! However, I'm not talking about the drawing style in general, I'm more or less criticizing the several scenes the Winx look disproportional in them.

I wish after 12 years Rainbow pays more attention to these scenes and fix their anatomy, because honestly I'm 100% sure no one thinks it's a pleasant scene to look at.

i think that this is not only from winx, i want to say, we could say the same about many other cartoons, like gwen tennyson in ben 10 alien force or starfire in teen titans, surely if the winx had the anatomy design that was used in huntik:secrets and seekers this controversy could not have place:

winx in huntik style:
